Ciudad Juarez to Zacatecas

Yesterday, I caught a bus from Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua to Delicias, Chihuahua. It is like a seven hour trip. When I got to Delicias I walked around for a while and took some pictures. Then I ate at this lady´s house-restaurant. The meal only cost two dollars. The tacos she made were good. The rest of the food on the plate was probably just random leftovers she had in the fridge. You get what you pay for, I guess.

After I ate, I jumped back on the bus and rode it south. I intended to go to Zacatecas, Zacatecas, but I overslept the stop. When I realized what had happened I asked the bus driver where we were and what the next stop would be. He said, ¨Mexico City.¨ I got off at the next toll check point. The toll person stopped a bus that was returning to Zacatecas and got me a spot on it. I was lucky. Thanks, man!

I arrived in Zacatecas at lunch time. I put my stuff down at the hostel and went exploring. I took a few hundred pictures. This city is amazing. It is very hilly and the buildings are interesting and colorful. Check back for pictures.

I will update soon.

  1. On Friday I also went to the historic El Eden Mine and rode a cable car across the city from one mountain to another. I will upload some pictures and videos when I return.
